Why Catholic Schools Part 2: Creating a Better World

Attending Catholic school opens up a world of opportunity for children. That’s one of many reasons Catholic schools place an emphasis on giving back to the community. Students are encouraged to discuss and explore their faith during classes. Whole classes take on charitable projects together. Here are some of the ways Catholic schools encourage students to build a better world for themselves and those around them.

Making the Right Choices

Peer pressure might not look the same as it does in public service announcements, but it’s still a very real problem children face. Teachers and staff at Catholic schools work with students to prepare them for academic success while instilling Catholic values. When faced with difficult decisions, students already have an idea of how to act in a way that aligns with their beliefs. This allows them to thrive in and outside of the classroom.

Creating Positive Change

Catholic schools empower children with the knowledge, self-confidence and moral compass to become leaders. Community service is required at most Catholic schools. Students take on group and individual projects to do good for their communities. Our Catholic high schools send students on mission trips to our sister diocese in the Dominican Republic so they can make a difference at home and abroad.

We empower our students to do good in order to make the world a better place. For more than 50 years, the Diocese of Orlando, which includes the top Orlando Catholic schools, has been helping children grow to their fullest potential and become leaders within their communities. We offer unique and dynamic learning environments that engage students and encourage them to become confident and responsible adults. To learn more about what makes us different, contact us today.
